Migration is a global discourse divided into various facets such as economy, politics, social climate, religious and even gender, freedom of movement. However, the issue of intra-Caribbean migration is unique in its socio-cultural dynamics since we share similarities in our history and politics. Immigrant, is a concept developed from a short film documentary titled "Living in the minority" written and produced in 2013 while I was a Bachelor's Degree Fine Arts student at the Barbados Community College. It has since gained momentum, branching into a series of paintings and sculptural installations. As an immigrant myself, some of the narratives are based on personal experiences and the art of being resilient while on the move.
